Welcome to LiviChat. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our hybrid communication and marketplace platform. By registering for an account, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

1. Account Registration and Security

• Personal Accounts: You must provide accurate contact information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your local encryption keys.
• Business Accounts: Businesses operating on the LiviChat Marketplace must provide verifiable business details. Fraudulent storefronts will be permanently banned.
• Key Management: Because LiviChat utilizes strict End-to-End Encryption (E2EE), losing access to your master password or local backup may result in irreversible data loss. LiviChat cannot recover encrypted data.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the LiviChat platform to:

• Violate any local, state, national, or international law.
• Distribute malware, spam, or phishing links through private messages or the marketplace.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Sell prohibited or illegal items through the LiviChat Marketplace feature.

3. Livi Locker Usage

The "Locker" feature is provided as a secure local and encrypted-cloud storage utility. While we employ military-grade encryption, LiviChat is not liable for data loss caused by user error, device malfunction, or compromised local security environments.

4. Marketplace Transactions

LiviChat provides the platform for communication between buyers and sellers. We do not manufacture, store, or inspect any of the items sold through the Business profiles. All disputes regarding payments, delivery, and refunds must be resolved directly between the buyer and the seller.

5. Intellectual Property

The LiviChat brand, logos, software algorithms, and UI designs are the exclusive property of LiviChat Inc. You retain all rights to the media, messages, and files you transmit through our platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiviChat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the platform.
